Lords Mobile Google Feature banner


This image is used in the Google app store to show the new game feature. It presents Lords Mobile as a warfare game. I give a spotlight on the front character to make sure it stands out more. The pose is a typical "call for action", so the player will feel more engaging.



Process of Creating Banner

For this type of work I usually have 1-2 days. My process: Step 1, rendering character and background from 3D model and game engine. Step 2, Compile them together to make out a story base on the requirement. Step 3, Finalize the detail enhance the effects and lighting. Step 4, Test on my phone, make sure everything readable.

Lords Mobile Google Feature banner

This is another google feature banner. My idea is to present the strategy aspect of Lords Mobile, so I picture a bunch LM hero are playing board game. The pose of character also indicate different type of strategy.

Valentine’s day Festival banner

This is a festival banner made for Valentine’s day.For this type of banner, we have to redesign the character a bit. Give them a costume of props to fit different festival promotion event.

Process of Valentine’s day

In this image, the background is 2D, but the character is 3D. To get a consistency style, I use a lot of painting techniques to blend 3D character and 2D background. Be able to do so, we need to understand the difference between 2D and 3D render.

Galaxy Mobile

This is another google feature banner for a sci-fi game called Galaxy Mobile.

Resize The Design

For every banner we did, we also have to resize them to fit different resolution and format.It requires some “thinking ahead” when we design it.

This is a Taptap banner, which has less restriction on the subject matter, so I had some fun on telling the story and hand painted entire image.

This is made for the Mobile Royale IOS store. this game has the advantage of some high detail character, so I decide to present them more to attract the audience.

IOS Store

We did a marketing data test on different layout and this one works the best. My theory is because it fits better for the layout of IOS store. Also, it allows the audiences to see 4 images at once.

This is a Lords mobile google play store image. Each image presents one game feature. I clean up the in-game footage, painted over the 3D characters, simplify the game UI and re-composite all elements. In a word, make sure the audience can understand easily.

Google APP Store

In the Google app store, horizontal seems to work better for the layout. It gives the image much big space.

App Store icon

Creating the App store icon is one of my tasks. My experience is always looking at a smaller size. Readability and simplicity is the most important thing to me.

Test on phone

I usually do a test on a phone and compare with other icon game, see which one is more eye-catching. Also, because the pixel is small the color and contrast have to be more saturated than usual.

IGG Chinajoy

This video is a 3D simulation for a stage, which was used in 2018 IGG Chinajoy event. This event hold in Shanghai China, it is the biggest game events in Asia. I was responsible for many 2d banners. (I took no credits on the 3d model and video making)

This is one of the biggest banner used in Chinajoy, which is 20 m long. The goal is presenting the company image. I used a large amount the characters to present the “IGG Universe” .

Galaxy Mobile

This is printed banner I made for Galaxy Mobile. It present a new space strategy game called Galaxy Mobile.

Mobile Royale

This is another printed banner, which is made for Mobile Royale. I want crate a sense of holiness, so I use 3D render characters and a church indoor background. After that I put in some god rays and some red bounce light on the back.

This is another printed banner, which is made for Brave Conquest. This is a Carton style game, so the color are more saturate and the shape are more graphic.

Brave Conquest

This is another printed banner for Brave Conquest, which present the all champion of this game.
